Research Interest
I am currently a PhD student at the Institute of Nutritional and Food Science under the supervision of Jun. Prof. Dr. Marie-Christine Simon.
I am interested in in the impact of the intestinal microbiome and its metabolites on the link between nutrition and cognition in humans (“gut-brain-axis”). I am currently conducting a randomized, controlled dietary intervention study to investigate the effects of an intensive oat intake for two days and a moderate oat intake for six weeks on the gut microbiome, metabolism, and cognitive function in participants with metabolic syndrome.
